Who Is ‘Quita, Healthy Hair Specialist?’

“Eclectic, Dynamic and Evolving”

These are just a few words to describe my personality. I am a new breed of cosmetologist... I am Quita Manciel-Hall.

The Beginning

I began my love-affair with hair over 30 years ago as a toddler- braiding, roller setting and cutting my dolls’ hair. It didn’t take long before I was styling my own hair. I perfected my press n’ curl by age 12. At 17, I was weaving and braiding extensively.  After starting college, I found myself fixing my friends ‘salon’ hair do’s, it was then I realized my calling. No longer would I re-do others mistakes, I was destined to create beauty all my own. After obtaining my Professional Cosmetologist license, I began working in salons where I would hone my talents as a punctual, versatile, and self-motivated professional.

After hearing the horror stories from clients, I quickly became aware of the prevalent lack of professionalism in the beauty industry. From arriving hours late to work, over-booking appointments, and running out of supplies, it became clear that cosmetology was not the service–oriented profession of days past. I could not sit idly by and watch my craft deteriorate, I had to act.

A confident stylist is willing to teach their client how to maintain their salon look. My clients know the how & why of good hair care- if they have to style their own hair, they know just what to do! Teaching my clients about the health of hair and scalp is my greatest joy.  It’s rewarding to hear that they’ve passed on good hair tips to family and friends.
